CLASSES

Classes began today, uggh I feel as though I am never going to finish this degree and reach my goal of teaching. When will it happen. I feel as though I have been in school FOREVER. Not to mention what it is costing me to attend. I'll be paying off these loans for the rest of my life. Hopefully, it will be worth it in the end.

Busy Busy Day

It was one of those days today where it seems as though life does not stop spinning in front of you. It was horribly busy at work, setting new goals that can and will be accomplished within the next two years.

Jordan today has been pretty well behaved, he is so adorable. He has such an outgoing personality when he isn't terrorizing things in his pathway. He can be so calm but when he is at a ten he's a ten and there ain't no looking back.

Michael waved goodbye for the first time today (a real goodbye with the open and closed fist), I can't believe that he is turning one this weekend, my how the year has flown by....where did it go? It seems as though it was just yesterday when I was sitting in the hospital holding him in my arms.

Kayla made me a bracelet, it is beautiful purple, pink, green, and blue colored. She told me that it was called a friendship bracelet. I asked her if that meant that I was her best friend and she replied your my best mommy friend. So cute....hopefully that stays with her for a long time. Some how I am thinking that it probably won't :(

Amazing

I don't think that I tell my daughter enough just how amazing she really is. We were riding home from a longday at work when I caught a glimpse of her beautiful smiling face in the rear view mirror. Her brothers both chuckling she is performing mundane acts that they find hysterical. The sound of laughter filled the car as I caught myself thinking what a wonderful life that I have. Three beautiful, happy, and most importantly, healthy children Although not every day is filled with this continuous laughter and fun on the ride home, it makes me stop and realize how lucky I am.

As I sit and read a blog about a man with stage 4 cancer with two small children who is desperatly clinging on to the little bit of life that he has left I realize it is time to stop sweating the small things. We only have one life to live and a very limited life at that. We need to enjoy every bit of our time with our loved ones and make the most of it.

So in closing I would like to say: Make sure you stop to tell everyone that you care for how important they are to you, one day they may not be here and you won't want to wonder if they knew how you felt.

Bring it on Irene!

What a day without power.....most of us couldn't survive in a world without it. Today most of us got a glimpse into life as it would be without it. No air conditioner, electronics, and food spoiling, mad rushes to the gas stations only to find no gas, coffee....yeah right! Hubby was out fixing everyone's power so I was home alone with the kids. What a great feeling to put our lives on hold and actually spend time together, no television or D.S. just playing games and playing outside, the way life should be. At least that was the way I grew up. No complaints and overall good behavior from all of the children even the one who thought it was a good idea to take a 20 minute nap. So as most people are probably cursing hurricane Irene, I would like to say thank you for giving me the precious time with my kids.

I LOVE my kids, they are the greatest!!!
